Goal Setting
Make a plan to reach your goal. Think about the following:
1.) How long do you want to give yourself to reach the goal?
-
If you give yourself too much time, you might not be as encouraged to get it done.
-
If you give yourself too little time, you might feel rushed and not get as much out of it.
-
Pick a time limit based on the size of your goal!
2.) Is it one big goal or a few little goals along the way to an end destination?
-
Smaller goals are good becuase you will feel encouraged when you accomplish them.
-
Completion of a big goal or a long time goal is exciting and thrilling.
3.) What resources do you need to achieve your goal?
-
If you set a goal to run a half marathon, you might need proper running shoes.
-
If your goal is to lose ten pounds in two months, you might need more money allocated to groceries that are healthy.
4.) Do you need to ask for encouragement from your spouse, family members, or friends?
-
Working out with others helps you stay on track.
-
Eating meals as a family allows you to relax and connect with your family members.
